Energy Alton is run by volunteers. We are a friendly, committed community group of people from all backgrounds and none. We focus on action, on making a tangible difference to the community in Alton and the surrounding villages through information, advice, services and projects, as described on this website.

We always have volunteering opportunities available. Just a few hours a month would be valuable. Times are flexible and by arrangement. You do not need to be an expert – we will give you all the training and support you need.  All you need is an interest in home energy.

You could become one of our Energy Champions – more info here

• Carry out home energy surveys and offer advice, helping people to save money
• Learn to take thermal images of properties for homeowners
• Get involved with our projects and events
• Become an energy efficiency adviser within your neighbourhood, club or community group

You could become one of our Green Home Champions

• If you have already had energy efficiency measures installed in your home
• Share your experience with other local residents who are thinking of doing the same
• You decide if you want people to visit you, or just speak to you by phone or video call
• We won’t share any of your personal details
