Join Energy Alton on Thursday 19 November at Alton Assembly Rooms for an evening of film, conversation and practical ideas. Come and explore the question: What could we do if our homes were warmer, our energy bills were lower, and our community worked together?
We will start the evening with our AGM, but don’t worry that will only take 10 minutes, and everybody is welcome, whether you are a member or not.
We will then show the film POWER STATION which tells the story of two artists in Walthamstow who set out to take their street off the grid, turning a local idea into a community-led solar energy project. It is funny, heartwarming and inspiring and a reminder of what can happen when people start talking to their neighbours about what might be possible.
We will then finish the evening with a conversation about the work already happening in and around Alton to make community energy projects happen.
