Energy Alton at the Yuletide Festival

Energy Alton had not one but two stalls in the Assembly Rooms at the Yuletide festival at the beginning of December!

More than 80 people visited our display on turning the tide on plastics and met Philippa and Eleanor (pictured).  As well as information about the impact of plastics on wildlife in our seas and oceans, the display gave advice on the action we can all take to reduce the amount of plastic we use, including lots of alternative, plastic-free, products.

On a separate stall Jenny, John, Roger, Charlotte, Chris and Ingrid were kept busy giving out general energy-saving advice.  Offering information on energy efficiency – keeping warm, saving money, saving carbon – remains Energy Alton’s core offer to Alton and its villages.  Get in touch if you would like one of our trained volunteer surveys to do a home energy survey for you.
