Alton Community Centre

All six candidates for the East Hampshire Constituency have agreed to speak at the hustings organised by The Alton Society and the Alton Community Association for Wednesday, 4th December.

The venue is the Community Centre, and the event will be chaired by Rev Andrew Micklefield. The cafe will be open from 6.30pm – 9.30pm; candidates speeches will start at 7.00pm and will be closed promptly at 9.00pm. Succinct, written questions may be submitted, to arrive at the Community Centre before 5.00pm on 4th December. This is a great opportunity to hear what all the nominated candidates are offering for the country and for our district.

This is a make or break election for the climate and the natural environment.  Please think about the climate crisis when you vote.  Which party is most likely to give us the information and help we need to reduce our carbon emissions?  Prioritise environmental standards in the UK and in trade deals? Invest in improved public transport and energy-efficient housing.  Use tax and other financial incentives to help us reduce environmental damage?
