Angus Berry is Head of Energy and Carbon for Thames Water, the largest water and waste water company in the UK.  Angus has a long history of energy management within Thames Water and previously with BT Group.  He is an Alton resident.  His challenge is to ensure energy in Thames Water is sustainable for their customers, the environment and shareholders.  At this Energy Alton event at the Community Centre, Amery Street, GU34 1HN, Angus will be talking about their exciting projects on Floating Solar and Power from Poo!    The meeting is from 7.30 – 9.30 pm, all are welcome and there is a bar.

Thames Water’s floating solar photovoltaic development is the largest of its kind in Europe. It is located on the Queen Elizabeth II reservoir at Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.  The energy is used by Thames Water’s waste treatment plant and provides approximately 20% of the plant’s substantial energy requirements.
